Donations of suitable food can be left in the Foodbank box in church or if you require further information on how to access Foodbank services or would like to offer help at one of the distribution centres or warehouse, then please contact Nicola Brown, on 07814 282651 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Foodbank is designed for individuals and families in crisis, through the provision of emergency food supplies.
Local professional care-workers in the Dunstable area will refer them, with a food voucher, to the foodbank centre where they are given their food supplies, a cup of coffee and help finding other professionals who can help them out of their crisis.
If you, or anyone you know, is in need of help then please do contact Nicola. Vouchers are issued and food provided in complete confidence.
Please help local people in crisis by donating the following items:-
- Fruit juice (carton);
- Tinned meat/fish;
- Pasta sauces;
- Sponge puds (tinned);
- Tomatoes (tinned);
- Tea Bags/Instant Coffee;
- Instant mashed potato;
- Tinned veg/fruit;
- Biscuits/snack bars.
Dunstable foodbank now helps around 60 people per week, equating to 2 tons of food per month.
Since opening in Sept 2012 over 30,000 meals have been distributed and your generosity is very much appreciated, so please
continue to donate items of food from the list provided above.
